ACTIVATE: Building the Capacity of Leaders on the Frontlines

Overview:
ACTIVATE is an annual professional development fellowship designed for Black and Brown trans and non-binary leaders with two or more years working in advocacy and community organizing. ACTIVATE provides an in-depth and comprehensive training curriculum that addresses the core skills needed to advance within leadership roles in the LGBTQ+ nonprofit sector.

The 2023 ACTIVATE cohort will consist of 10-12 fellows and begin with an intensive digital training and virtual convening October 13-15, 2023. This year's fellowship will also feature an in-person gathering November 17-19, 2023 and a closing virtual convening December 8-10, 2023. Beyond the cohort-based curriculum that the ACTIVATE program offers, additional benefits for fellows include:

  • A $1500 stipend
  • Tech assistance as needed
  • Meals provided during webinars and convenings
  • Access to mentorship opportunities through our alumni network
  • Additional professional development resources and opportunities
